At Thorner C of E Primary School, we have four House Teams that help to build a sense of belonging, teamwork, and friendly competition across the school community:

Lacy : Red House    Ryther: Blue House    Franks: Green House    Saville: Yellow House

Each child is assigned to a House Team when they begin their school journey at Thorner. Wherever possible, siblings are placed in the same house to continue the family connection.

Throughout the year, pupils take part in a range of whole-school events—from Sports Day and Cake Bakes to timetables challenges —all earning points for their Houses. House Points are also awarded for good work in class and positive behaviour around school. Totals are announced each Friday in assembly, with the winning House celebrated for their achievements.
